Dane Cottage sits in the picturesque and historic village of Nether Wallop, overlooking the Village Green and bordering the gentle Wallop Brook. This Grade II listed thatched cottage, used as Miss Marple’s house, is rich in character, with exposed beams, an open fire, and a real sense of timeless English charm.
Your private half of the cottage offers two generous bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, living room, hallway, own access, shared walled garden, parking, and catering by arrangement. Dogs welcome

Nether Wallop is a beautiful traditional village with a wealth of thatched cottages. The Wallop Brook runs through the village green and is perfect for a paddle, dog cool or glass of wine.
Why not take a walk round the village and visit St Andrews Church home to several medieval wall paintings. Built even before William the Conqueror, this has been the heart of the community for nearly 1,000 years, making it a true must‑see. So much of its history is carefully preserved and recorded. You may even be lucky enough to be staying when the six bells are rung.

From 1984 to 1992, our village gained fame as the filming location for the BBC TV series Miss Marple, starring Joan Hickson as Agatha Christie’s beloved detective. Dane Cottage served as Miss Marple’s home, with several episodes shot in and around the village and its church.
